We haven't had too much excitement here lately, but we've been keeping busy taking walks, visiting the playground and hanging out with friends.

Apricots

We have big apricot tree in our backyard. The morning after I got back from Rhode Island I looked outside to find it full of fruit. I got the ladder out and picked and picked and picked. I ended up with three big bowlfuls! That night my mom and I started to make preserves. I honestly never realized how much work goes into doing that, but we had fun and we ended up with 33 jars full! Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas....

"Sam haircut too???"

Everyday since I gave Micah his haircut several weeks ago, Sam has pointed to his own head and said, "Sam haircut too, Mommy?". I kept saying no, but finally gave in a few days ago. When I was done, he looked at all of his hair on the ground and cried, "oh no!!! Sam's hair back!!!"...He was pretty upset...but, I think it looks cute!

Fourth of July

We celebrated July 4th with a cookout at my Uncle Dan's house. It was nice to spend time with our family and to just relax a while. The kids had a great time in the pool...Sam was in it all afternoon and even Micah got in for a while and splashed around. I don't have too many pictures because yet again I forgot to bring my camera! But, Jodi got a few good ones of Sam.
