Snow Day

We got our first taste of New England winter this weekend with the "Blizzard 2009"...
Cory and I were convinced we would have nothing more than rain and slush, but much to our surprise and the kids' excitement we woke up Sunday morning buried in snow.
It is very pretty, but extremely cold!!
The boys are having a blast...

These next pictures are entitled, "Take me back to California....NOW!!!"

And...our little snow dog...even Murphy is having fun running around in it...

Santa 2009

We took the boys to see Santa at Marble House this past weekend... They were both completely shy around him. It was funny to see Micah quiet for a change : )

Santa gave Micah a high five...

They really didn't know what to think about actually meeting the man big man...

Sam whispered his Christmas wish...."a fishing pole with a car on it"...

The three crazy boys hanging out at Grampie's house...they are loving being around their cousins again!

Space Man Sam

Sam has been having so much fun in preschool this year... This month they have been studying space and astronauts. He came home Monday with this awesome space helmet that he made.

Texas

On our crazy drive across the country with two cars, two kids and a dog, we were able to stop in Texas and visit for a day with Cory grandparents. It was wonderful to be able to spend time with them and the kids had a blast getting to know their great Nanaw and Mr. Dewayne.
I didn't get many pictures at all, but here are a few...

Annibirthary

A few days after Cory flew home, we celebrated my 30th birthday and our 8th wedding anniversary. We spent the day in Santa Ynez and Los Olivos with our good friend, Lisa.
We had a great day...

Cory pouted a little because he was missing Adam (Lisa's husband who is still deployed)...
The tractor is an inside joke with them...it was funny to watch him carry it from winery to winery...

Homecoming

Okay, so we have had a ton going on in our lives lately...by a ton I mean Cory coming home, packing up our house, moving to RI, Sam starting preschool here, Cory starting work here, moving into a new house, adjusting to everything...it has been CRAZY!
Having said that, I apologize for not updating this sooner. I will try to be better in the future (Danielle) ; )

Here are a few shots from Cory's homecoming. He flew into Oxnard airport on September 6th after a short 3 month deployment.
