Family Day

Cory came home on Tuesday from a few weeks at sea...he had the week off and we have had some great time together as a family. The boys love having their daddy around...
We played with trains, ran around the backyard and even took a trip to the beach.

(The cool outfits came from Auntie Etta's trip to Hawaii!)

Happy Birthday Pops!

Last weekend Pops came to visit and to celebrate his birthday with us. Sam helped me bake cupcakes and we had a little party for him. Of course the boys loved the cake...they also loved spending time with Pops, playing and reading together...

It's already starting...

Micah has a newly discovered love for soccer...I am not ready to be a "soccer mom"!!! For only being 22 months old, he is pretty good. I'm doomed!

Let's fly a kite...once again...

So, we broke down and bought a new kite...an easier kite to fly. We took it out in the backyard and Sam had a great time running around with it. It did get up in the air, but we soon discovered that the backyard is not the place to fly it...too many trees and other obstacles to get caught on.

After this we took it down to the baseball field here on base where the kids flew it for a long time before it got snagged on a tree...unfortunately it is still in that tree...but atleast it was more successful than our last attempt!!

New tractor fun...

The boys inherited a John Deere "Gator" tractor from our neighbors whose boys have grown too big for it... Sam and Micah are having a blast riding it around the backyard together. I'm amazed at how well they share it and take turns driving!
