Happy Birthday To You...x 2

Friday was Samuel's 3rd birthday. His day started with a yummy breakfast of blueberry waffles and chocolate milk. We then got dressed and went for a walk. On our walk we ran into my brother, Rob, and he invited Sam down to his greenhouse to check out his big tractors. Sam had a blast sitting on all of them, and he even got to go for a ride on the big red lawnmower! I don't have pictures because who knew we'd find so much excitement just walking down the street!
Later in the afternoon, we picked Grammie up at work and went out to visit our friend Sharon and her horse, Shiloh. Every time we come home Sam gets to visit with Shiloh...he LOVES it!

When we got there, Shiloh was getting his hair brushed and eating some lunch.
He wasn't fond of the camera flash...it startled him, so this is the only picture I dared to take of him and Sam!

Sam in his riding helmet on the way to the indoor ring. He got to ride for a while until Shiloh made some sort of loud coughing noise...at that point Sam decided he was ready to get off...

Then, Grammie surprised Sam with a "giant monkey balloon".

After that, we were off to have pizza and cake at Grammie and Grampie's house.

Wouldn't you love to be a kid again and go face down into your cake?

Micah had a blast digging into the cake too!

After they had made quite a mess, Grampie decided we should take them swimming in the fountain. Sam could not believe he was allowed to get in!

Micah got his first swimming lesson...he's not crazy about getting water in his face!

After all of the excitement, they were exhausted!

Today we had an actual birthday party for Sam. What do you do for a little boy who loves horsies? Have a horsie party!
The kids had a great time taking turns riding the horse. His name was Hershey Kiss and his handler was Miss Shannon.

This was Brenton giving us his "YEE-HAW" pose.

My friend, Yadira, with her son, Benjamin, and Sam.

Even Micah liked it!

More cake!

Notice how Sam isn't even paying attention to us singing to him! He was so exhausted by that point, he just wanted to play with his horsies!

I think it is safe to say Sam 3rd birthday was a success. He had a great time!

Spaghetti Night

These pictures speak for themselves... Yum!

Still Cute?

I've been getting quite a bit of grief over the haircut I gave Micah. He would not sit still and let me trim his bangs (they were in his eyes), so I took the buzzer to it...I think he's still really cute...

Before and....
...After!

Here comes the rain...

On Sunday my mom and I loaded the boys into the car, met up with Jodi, Brenton and Camrynn and headed up to New Hampshire for a few days. Our mission the first day was to get the kids to Santa's Village, a theme park dedicated to everything Christmas. It took us 4 and 1/2 hours to get there...the drive was beautiful all the way there and then, we pulled into the parking lot and the heavens opened and the rain came down...hard. We had a decision to make: stay and make the best of it, or leave and drive another hour to the house we rented. We chose to stay...we WERE going to have a good time regardless of the weather! The kids had fun riding on the carousel, meeting Santa and eating really good pizza (probably the best food I've every had at an amusement park)...

As we were unloading the kids, the rain came down....this was us seeking shelter under the back of my mom's car...notice my mom is not in the picture...she refused to get out and was sitting in the front seat...thanks alot mom!

We all bought ponchos to keep us dry...we looked so cool...

Micah had no idea what was going on...why were we torturing him? The poor kid was soaking wet!

Yeah, this is tons of fun!

Jodi and I trying to make the best of it!

The next day we decided to try Story Land. It's a great amusement park for the kids...when it's not thundering and lightning... We did our best to have fun, but the weather was horrible...

The carousel was a highlight for my boys...they love horsies!

This is them posing in Cinderella's pumpkin coach.

And this was the house we all rented...it was very cute!

Our final day there we were just going to head home in the morning, but when we woke up the sun was out!...go figure... So, we decided to give Story Land one more try. We had a great day!

Brenton insisted we go on the raft ride...I guess we didn't get wet enough the first two days...

Since we were already soaking wet we decided to try the flume...

Sam learned his first bad word on this ride. I nearly fell out of the boat, and accidentally said a swear...oops...he repeats everything!

He loves every kind of horsie, real or fake...he must have sat on this one for a half and hour...

"ARRRRR"...my little pirate!
Yes, I do have two sons!...Micah finally got some freedom...he didn't really care about the rides...he just wanted to be free!
