Happy Birthday To You...x 2

Friday was Samuel's 3rd birthday. His day started with a yummy breakfast of blueberry waffles and chocolate milk. We then got dressed and went for a walk. On our walk we ran into my brother, Rob, and he invited Sam down to his greenhouse to check out his big tractors. Sam had a blast sitting on all of them, and he even got to go for a ride on the big red lawnmower! I don't have pictures because who knew we'd find so much excitement just walking down the street!
Later in the afternoon, we picked Grammie up at work and went out to visit our friend Sharon and her horse, Shiloh. Every time we come home Sam gets to visit with Shiloh...he LOVES it!

When we got there, Shiloh was getting his hair brushed and eating some lunch.
He wasn't fond of the camera flash...it startled him, so this is the only picture I dared to take of him and Sam!

Sam in his riding helmet on the way to the indoor ring. He got to ride for a while until Shiloh made some sort of loud coughing noise...at that point Sam decided he was ready to get off...

Then, Grammie surprised Sam with a "giant monkey balloon".

After that, we were off to have pizza and cake at Grammie and Grampie's house.

Wouldn't you love to be a kid again and go face down into your cake?

Micah had a blast digging into the cake too!

After they had made quite a mess, Grampie decided we should take them swimming in the fountain. Sam could not believe he was allowed to get in!

Micah got his first swimming lesson...he's not crazy about getting water in his face!

After all of the excitement, they were exhausted!

Today we had an actual birthday party for Sam. What do you do for a little boy who loves horsies? Have a horsie party!
The kids had a great time taking turns riding the horse. His name was Hershey Kiss and his handler was Miss Shannon.

This was Brenton giving us his "YEE-HAW" pose.

My friend, Yadira, with her son, Benjamin, and Sam.

Even Micah liked it!

More cake!

Notice how Sam isn't even paying attention to us singing to him! He was so exhausted by that point, he just wanted to play with his horsies!

I think it is safe to say Sam 3rd birthday was a success. He had a great time!
